Programmed is a leading provider of operations and maintenance services across all industry sectors including education, health, infrastructure, manufacturing, transport and mining in Australia and New Zealand.
We are one of Australia’s largest employers with more than 25,000 employees.
We have more than 1000 trainees and apprentices and we know how to take young adults and make them into supervisors, leaders and great contributors to their communities. We enable our people to gain a diverse range of task skills and industry experience to give them job and financial independence as industries and business evolve and change.
We get safety right on the ground and our own people believe in the goal of zero harm and operate with significantly less incidents and injuries than their peers. Our focus on the elimination of unplanned events prevents injuries and improves productivity. Studies undertaken by Griffith University have shown that our focus on safety and core values also results in our people having high customer service orientation and job satisfaction.
We put together teams of the right people with the right skills to deliver the operational and / or maintenance services required from our large employee base. We manage people effectively (safety, training, values, culture, payroll, awards, regulations, superannuation, diversity, apprenticeships, career development) in full compliance with the law and with high levels of employee engagement in an increasingly regulated environment, and we deliver operational improvements, flexibility and high levels of satisfaction to our customers.
We deliver a range of services including:
To build outstanding people, strong customers and great communities.
Our Zero Harm goal ensures we’re taking the right steps so that each of our employees and customers return home in the same state they arrived – injury free. It also encompasses Zero Harm to the natural environments in which we work and operate.
We started as Norman Miles Paint Services in 1951, with just one paint van and a few tradesmen on the brushes.
Programmed now employs more than 20,000 people each day across a range of disciplines providing services to over 10,000 customers, and is one of the largest providers of operations and maintenance services across Australia and New Zealand.
We’ve grown as a result of a number of acquisitions over the years, and each service offering we provide has a rich history which contributes to the overall Programmed journey. We’re proud of our roots and achievements to date. From a small painting company founded 68 years ago, we have become a leader in our field. Programmed was acquired by PERSOL Group on 27 October 2017. To learn more, visit the PERSOL GROUP website.
