Programmed Professionals supplies high volumes of temporary administrative/customer service employees to a leading Australian telecommunications company, many of whom are placed in call centre environments. We manage the recruitment process from advertisement to placement, throughout major cities as well as in regional centres.
Our customer has strict turnaround times for actioning work order requests: two days for contractor personnel and up to one week for temporary employees.
In order to manage these aggressive time frames we have streamlined communications through one central national recruitment coordinator. Our recruitment coordinator is based in Melbourne and is supported by a national account manager as well as recruitment consultants in each state.
The national recruitment coordinator (NRC) is dedicated to this customer, providing recruitment and screening support as well as project management. All orders are sent to the NRC and managed through the customer’s online recruitment system, which the coordinator checks on an hourly basis.
Our NRC then works with consultants in each state to screen all applications, coordinate phone interviews, conduct reference checks and develop shortlists. The team then engages directly with our customer to schedule and deliver additional testing with the shortlisted candidates via assessment centres at the customer’s offices. The assessment centre sessions are delivered by our recruitment consultants, with up to 20 participants in each session. Final appointments are made after this phase and are then approved by our customer.
Programmed currently has 183 temps placed throughout the country, 131 of those are call centre operators. Many of our field employees have been retained by our customer on a casual basis for many years, with some having worked with us almost since we began providing services.
