We’re proud to share that Programmed has once again been named Industrial Caterer of the Year at the 2025 WA Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence – marking a back-to-back win for our outstanding culinary team delivering services at 29Metals’ Golden Grove operation.

Held in Perth, the prestigious awards ceremony recognises the state’s leading hospitality providers. For Programmed, this second consecutive win is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the talent, consistency and passion that drives our culinary program.

Raising the Bar in Industrial Catering

John Pirie, Head of FM – Western Australia and Resources, reflected on the win:

“This award affirms our position as a serious force in the industrial catering space. In just a few short years, our team has carved out a reputation for quality, innovation and heart – all while continuing to exceed expectations in a remote resources environment.”

The recognition builds on the strong foundation laid by Culinary Community Manager Amanda Pickering and Executive Chef Waffe El Jazzar, whose leadership has elevated every aspect of the onsite dining experience. From daily menus to themed events and seasonal activations, the team’s approach combines technical excellence with genuine care for the people we serve.

Linda Hitchmough, General Manager – Resources, added:

“Winning this award for a second year running speaks volumes about our people. It’s their pride, creativity and day-in, day-out consistency that sets our offer apart. We’re not just cooking meals – we’re creating a community, and that shows in everything we do.”

Gratitude and Recognition

We extend our heartfelt thanks to 29Metals for their continued partnership and trust, to our supply partners for supporting our vision and most importantly, to our incredible Culinary Team for turning every shift into a showcase of professionalism and passion.

29Metals Golden Grove Commercial Manager Vinay Paul shared:

“Congratulations on bringing home the silverware for the second year running! A great outcome and well deserved, amongst some tough competition.”

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on the future. With national recognition in sight and new opportunities on the horizon, our team is more energised than ever to keep evolving and innovating.
