Tasmania
We provide asset management and shutdown services, emergency and planned maintenance for a variety of projects across Tasmania. And our expertise in golf course construction is on show at Cape Wickham Golf Links.
Providing maintenance expertise across industry sectors.
On the west coast, in regional Tasmania we do maintenance work on mining and processing equipment at MMG’s Rosebery Mine, one of Australia’s longest running mining operations.
Our teams are made of up of a local workforce which can be bolstered by skilled workers on the east coast as well as FIFO workers.
In Hobart, we have a big presence at the University of Tasmania (UTAS). We provide whole of life asset management services for the university’s student accommodation facilities as part of a Public Private Partnership (PPP).
The scope of work for the PPP spans five sites and includes maintenance, painting, cleaning, waste and capital works. We also manage the helpdesk, utilities for 11 student accommodation sites as well as planned preventative maintenance.
As an equal opportunity employer, Programmed is helping close the gender gap in STEM fields by providing The Programmed UTAS Women in Engineering Scholarship to supports women studying electrical or mechanical engineering. In 2021, we were delighted to award two scholarships.
But golf enthusiasts would argue that the best work we do in Tasmania is maintaining Cape Wickham Links, a world-class golf course, located on the northern tip of King Island. We were responsible for construction of the top-ranking course and today ensure the turf and grounds are maintained for pro and amateur golfers alike to enjoy.
And our horticulture team have an equally important role maintaining the Hobart War Cemetery which commemorates our fallen soldiers.
