Australia Big Morning Tea

Jun 30, 2025

Wow, what a spread, what a turnout, and what a cause!

Our Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer Council was a huge success. From sweet to savoury bites, the baked goods were an absolute hit. We saw some seriously impressive entries in our Bake Off so thank you to everyone who contributed. The nominations are now in:

  • Shane Stephens, who stole hearts (and tastebuds) with his Dutch Butter Cake
  • Talia Ford, whose Cinnamon Swirls spiralled their way to success
  • Dayle Bryant and that spectacular Lemon Meringue Pie? Those blowtorch skills were spectacular so don’t forget to thank your local baker!

Let’s also give a huge shoutout to Waffe, Amanda, Cheryl and Krista who pulled out all the stops for the sausage sizzle. Their top-tier teamwork made sure no one was left hungry. I’d also like to say a huge thank you to the Programmed teams on Wadjemup and in Karratha who contributed a huge amount to Cancer Council and really made a difference.

With the generous support from everyone, we smashed our fundraising target and raised $2,470. It was heart-warming to see so many colleagues coming together, from baking and donating to simply showing up and enjoying the day.

We hope keep creating events like these and supporting each other for causes that matter.
