Across Programmed, we’ve seen this year’s FM Day theme of ‘Cultivating Belonging Through Built Environments’ highlighted by our continued focus on gender equality and inclusion – particularly through our International Women’s Day initiatives in 2026.
Moving from awareness to action on International Women’s Day 2026
On International Women’s Day this year, our teams engaged in a series of events that reinforced the importance of creating equitable opportunities and inclusive environments for women. Through these events, Programmed was focused on both the engagement of our own people within the organisation, and within the communities that we serve.

Internally, events were held at sites across Australia and New Zealand, taking the opportunity to reinforce our ongoing commitment to building greater diversity and inclusion within the trade workforce. Team members expressed the tangible actions they will take to help further a sense of belonging, sharing personal pledges to support gender diversity and inclusion.

Our team in Burwood, WA held a special event for the occasion featuring guest speaker Hon Klasey Hirst MLC, representing the Minister for Women, and reflected on the women who personally inspire them and how they can inspire others.

Teams were also encouraged to attend external events such as the Ishar International Women’s Day Breakfast, focusing on the ongoing barriers many women and girls face when seeking justice, and Fusion’s ‘Together We Rise’ event, providing a meaningful opportunity for the team to come together and be part of a broader conversation around empowerment, inclusion and progress.

Our International Women’s Day initiatives are one example of how we are fostering awareness, connection, and empowerment across our workforce. Our Facility Management teams play a complementary role, ensuring that the environments we manage reflect these values in practice.
This FM Day, we reaffirm our commitment to building environment, and a culture, where inclusion thrives.
