Diversity the winner at OzWater

Jun 30, 2019

Programmed Facility Management (PFM) were proud supporters of OzWater 2019, the peak water industry conference run by the Australian Water Association.

Held in Melbourne this year at the Convention Centre, the conference attracted more than 800 delegates from water companies and suppliers across Australia.

PFM’s Executive Manager Water Sector Julian Kinder facilitated one of the conference streams titled ‘A safe, inclusive and innovative water sector’ stream.

These themes resonated strongly with us and our work in the water sector. Our teams take on a partnership approach with our water industry customers to champion safety and diversity initiatives.

Diversity was a key theme at this year’s Oz Water, with water companies looking to attract and retain a more diverse workforce reflective of the communities in which they work.

Julian spoke about our commitment to diversity as a company, and the joint initiatives we have developed in collaboration with City West Water such as a cadetship for younger workers in the water sector.

The water sector is a key industry vertical for our Facility Management business, along with education, corrections and social housing.
