This year, the Programmed team at Melbourne Airport hosted three students from Harvester Technical College, a local school from the area, for Structured Workplace Learning (SWL), allowing them to acquire new skills, gain industry insights, and establish valuable connections. The SWL program is an essential component of the curriculum at Harvester Technical College, aiding students in achieving their educational goals and offering invaluable real-world experience.

Harvester Technical College organises a Graduation and Awards Evening at the end of each year to honour student accomplishments. During this event, many of their employers and industry partners contribute awards to support our students and vocational programs.

This year, Programmed sponsored several awards that reflect our company values, benefiting nine students. The winners of the 2024 Programmed sponsored awards are:

  • Year 10 Most Improved Award: ARDIAN
  • Year 11 Most Improved Award: MARCUS
  • Year 12 Most Improved Award: EROL
  • Year 10 Safe Leader Award: HUDSON
  • Year 11 Safe Leader Award:  RYAN
  • Year 12 Safe Leader Award: KELLAN
  • Year 10 Team Player Award: NATE
  • Year 11 Team Player Award: CATHERINE
  • Year 12 Team Player Award: COREY

“We’d like to send a huge thank you to Programmed, and in particular Daniel, and the Melbourne Airport team for their continued support of the college.  We look forward to our continued partnership into the future” – Renée Bradford, Careers & Pathways Coordinator, Harvester Technical College

A special recognition goes to student Diego Flores, who excelled during his Structured Workplace Learning at Melbourne Airport, facilitated by Programmed.

Interesting fact: His mother, Christie, works at Programmed as well!

Programmed is proud to support students not only through donations but also by providing work placements demonstrating our dedication to the community.
