MAINTENANCE arrangements for 6,300 public housing properties in the Pilbara and Mid-West regions are secure after Programmed acquired the Western Australian Government contract for the region.
Pindan Asset Management was placed into administration in May this year, and Programmed has been maintaining the homes in an interim capacity since 8 June.
Pindan Asset Management is separate to the broader Pindan Group Pty Ltd and Pindan Contracting Pty Ltd.
During the interim license period from 8 June, Programmed ensured services to public housing tenants was maintained while subcontractors continued to receive a sustainable workflow.
Supporting Communities
Properties owned by the Western Australian Government Department of Communities and serviced by 129 Pindan-appointed subcontractors, who employ 437 employees across both regional areas; of which 70 are indigenous employees provide plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other trades services to ensure maintenance works and services are undertaken.
Approximately 90 staff previously employed by Pindan Asset Management will transfer to Programmed.
