Flexible working is not just about the ability to work from home, it can include a range of approaches including flexibility in hours worked, adjusted start and finish times, and changes to days worked. To find out more about Flexible Working Day click here.

Programmed have been advocates of flexible working for many years and are proud to sign on with FlexAgility as supporters again in 2020. To be an official supporter, organisations need to show that they are committed to flexibility and we are happy to say we have met the FlexCheck criteria. This means that:

  • We have a clear strategy, updated policies and training to support flexibility
  • Flexible working is available for everyone, for any reason, at all levels across the organisation
  • We know the key barriers and challenges and how to address them
  • Managers and leaders are walking the talk and supportive of embracing flexible teams
  • We have a culture of trust and accountability, which underpins flexible work

Flexibility has been a critical component of how we have been able to seamlessly transition almost 80% of our office workforce to working form home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As restrictions ease and individuals begin to return to the workplace, our focus now turns to the future of flexible working for our organisation and how we can best navigate the needs of our team members and of the business.
