In 2018 Programmed partnered with Victoria Polytechnic and the Programmed Facilities Management from City West Water headed by Julian Kinder, to develop a Water leadership Program. The Programm focused on preparing emerging leaders working in operational roles in the water industry.

The tailored program with a strong focus on the water industry was delivered over a 12 month period with a blended delivery approach of on-site and distance learning, to develop leadership and strategic skills in an operational and maintenance environment.

Funded by Programmed, the cohort of trainees included operational representatives from across the City West Water and Water Corporation contracts, where participants collaborated and shared information on best practice with their water industry counterparts.

Our education partner for this project, Victoria Polytechnic commented that: Victoria Polytechnic values the opportunity to engage with industry partners, such as Programmed, who are genuinely committed to developing staff.

Our relationship with Programmed has been in place for many years, and it has developed according to changing needs, training products, and changes in the workplace. Developing staff, not just training has been and continues to be, the goal of our partnership, which will benefit staff and the overall
organisation now and into the future.
