PRIDE at Programmed

Jun 2, 2019

At Programmed we’re proud to be championing a diverse and inclusive workforce across our organisation that reflects the communities we live and work in.

June is PRIDE month globally, and a recent study conducted by the Diversity Council of Australia (DCA) “Out at Work: From Prejudice to Pride” highlighted that LGBTIQA+ employees who don’t feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work were twice as likely to feel downhearted and 45% less likely to be satisfied with their job.

The same study outlined that LGBTIQA+ employees who were out at work, were 50% more likely to innovate, 35% more effective within their teams and 28% more likely to provide excellent customer service.

For the month of June, Programmed will be celebrating diversity and inclusiveness across the business.

“With a workforce of more than 25,000 strong, we want each and every one of our people to feel comfortable in bringing their whole selves to work,” says Programmed Managing Director, Chris Sutherland.
