Programmed is proud to announce a new partnership with AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited to deliver integrated village management services across its Tropicana and Sunrise Dam operations in Western Australia.
This partnership marks an important milestone in Programmed’s resources portfolio, supporting two established mining villages that play a critical role in AngloGold Ashanti’s Australian operations. Through this partnership, Programmed will deliver services that support the comfort, wellbeing and day-to-day needs of the onsite workforce.
About the Customer
AngloGold Ashanti is a global gold mining company with a geographically diverse portfolio of operations and projects across the full mining value chain. The company recognises the impacts its activities have on people, communities and the environment and is committed to responsible and sustainable operations.
In Australia, AngloGold Ashanti operates two sites in the north‑eastern Goldfields of Western Australia: Sunrise Dam and Tropicana.
About the Partnership
Programmed will provide a comprehensive suite of services across the Tropicana and Sunrise Dam villages. Our scope of work includes accommodation management, catering, cleaning, retail, grounds, aerodrome services and transport. Moreover, maintenance services will be delivered at the Sunrise Dam site.
Together, Tropicana and Sunrise Dam support a FIFO workforce operating in remote conditions. Programmed’s teams will maintain and manage both sites, ensuring high standards across village operations and essential services.
By delivering integrated, end to end services across two villages, Programmed will create welcoming, safe and reliable environments where people can rest, recharge and perform at their best. Our teams will work closely with AngloGold Ashanti to ensure services remain responsive, consistent and aligned to operational priorities.
This partnership draws on Programmed’s depth of experience in remote workforce environments and the strength of Australia’s largest site ready workforce. It reflects our ability to deliver high quality outcomes across multiple sites, even in the most challenging locations.
Putting Safety, Wellbeing and People First

Safety, wellbeing and care sit at the heart of Programmed and AngloGold Ashanti Australia. Together, we are moving toward a more collaborative and forward‑thinking way of working, underpinned by shared values and a commitment to improving daily life at Tropicana and Sunrise Dam.
Programmed’s approach is designed around the unique needs of each site, delivering comfortable accommodation, high‑quality food and well‑maintained facilities that support safe and efficient operations. This capability is underpinned by proven excellence, including being named National Industrial Caterer of the Year at the 2025 WA Restaurant and Catering HostPlus Awards for Excellence.
Matthew Cotterall, Executive General Manager of Programmed Facility Management, said:
