At Programmed, supporting our local communities is fundamental to the way that we operate. Recently, we were thrilled to extend that commitment beyond our borders, with our Group IT division donating 16 network switches to A Future 4 Kids, helping to strengthen digital infrastructure at their school in Ndola, Zambia.
A Future 4 Kids
Founded in 2009 by Joyce Chimbila and Minerva Kachaka, A Future 4 Kids began as a small mission providing meals and basic literacy and numeracy lessons to vulnerable children. When local government schools would not accept the children because they were “too old,” the founders took action – establishing their own primary school in 2010 to ensure no child was left behind.
Today, the school supports more than 300 children, many of whom are orphans or survivors of abuse and extreme poverty. Beyond education, students receive nutritious meals, healthcare support, and a safe, nurturing environment.
Living our Programmed Values
Reliable connectivity is critical for modern education. By donating 16 network switches, our Group IT team has helped enable stronger digital capability for teaching, administration and student learning. It’s a practical contribution that will assist this vital organisation in their life-changing work, making a meaningful difference beyond our immediate commercial environment.
We’re super proud of our Group IT team for turning capability into impact, demonstrating how our people make a difference in ways that extend far beyond our day-to-day roles.
