Programmed Facility Management proudly hosted an office-based Careers Day in Parramatta, New South Wales in partnership with the Clontarf Foundation.
A group of young First Nations men from Sydney were invited to participate in a day of connection, learning, career exploration and hands-on activities.

The Clontarf Foundation, one of Programmed’s key longtime community partners, supports young First Nations men in staying engaged in school and transitioning into the workforce. They operate 162 academies in schools across Australia, providing safe and supportive environments for students to build self-confidence and life skills, guided by full-time mentors.

Career Days like this offer students the chance to visit real workplaces, discover different industries, and hear directly from staff about their professional journeys, helping to build awareness and confidence for life after school.
We were thrilled to see so many of our team members joining in the fun and providing students with an inside look at the world of facilities management – through team activities, an office tour, one-on-one career conversations, and a shared meal.
The students left feeling inspired, with one sharing, “My experience today gave me a glimpse of the different possible jobs out there,” and another adding, “Having conversations with staff helped me think about my next steps into the workforce.”

We’re proud to have played a part in helping students see what’s possible for their futures – sometimes, a single conversation can spark a new goal or a dream.
We look forward to building on the success of the day and continuing to offer Careers Days and worksite visits across the business, thereby creating employment opportunities and pathways for people in the community.
