Jul 24, 2024

Programmed is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded the Industrial Caterer of the Year at the 2024 Western Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence. This prestigious recognition, presented on July 22, celebrates Programmed’s outstanding catering services at 29Metals’ Golden Grove operation in Western Australia.

Head of FM – Western Australia and Resources, John Pirie, stated, “This accolade highlights our exceptional progress and commitment as a relative newcomer in the industrial catering sector. Competing against some of the industry’s most established players, our win emphasises the level of care for our people and the quality and dedication of our services.”

The Culinary Team, under the leadership of Culinary Community Manager Amanda Pickering and the expertise of Head Chef Waffe El Jazzar, has consistently delivered exceptional catering experiences. Programmed General Manager, Resources, Linda Hitchmough, added, “The recognition as a finalist was a significant honour, but winning the award validates our relentless pursuit of excellence and consistency in our entire culinary offer. Our commitment to honesty and transparency in our operations enhances the customer experience and sets us apart in a highly competitive field.”

29Metals Golden Grove Commercial Manager, Vinay Paul, conveyed his congratulations, stating, “It’s well-deserved recognition for the team and a testament to your collective effort and consistent dedication to safe, efficient service delivery at Golden Grove.”

“As we celebrate this milestone, we want to emphasise that this is just the beginning for Programmed. The future holds great promise, and we look forward to continuing to lead and innovate in the industrial catering industry,” Linda concludes.

Programmed extended its thanks to 29Metals for their trust and partnership, our supply partners for their support, and our talented Culinary Team for their dedication.

As a State winner, Programmed will now progress to the National Awards for Excellence held on 11 November 2024 in Melbourne.
