Australian Federal Police

Canberra, ACT

Project Description

Programmed was contracted by St Hilliers to install the communications infrastructure for the new Australian Federal Police fitout, in the heritage-listed Edmund Barton building in Canberra.

Project Solution

Programmed’s capabilities and strengths include our clear understanding of requirements, procedures and security processes within defence buildings and infrastructure. Our team installed over 17,000 fibre and copper outlets to the desktop via concealed consolidation points, which will allow full flexibility for any future changes. Blown fibre was used extensively throughout the project for the backbone and intra-cabinet cabling for the top-secret outlets.

Project Outcome

Programmed provides industry-leading installation and maintenance of electrical and communication cabling systems. We have an exceptional working relationship with the Department of Defence ICT personnel, providing a seamless process for the application of current stringent defence standards, and guarantees building security certification.
