Project Description
Located in one of Perth’s outstanding CBD precincts, the complex that houses the National Australia Bank Headquarters (NAB HQ) is a multipurpose retail and commercial development. Programmed was the primary communications cabling contractor for the $1.3m office fitout at the St Georges Terrace 24-story skyscraper the NAB HQ in Perth’s CBD.
The retail component, named enex100, is made up of three floors of shops and food outlets between St Georges Terrace and the Hay Street Mall. The office tower is 103m (338 ft) high and the project was the first office building constructed in Perth to a 4.5 star Australian Building Greenhouse Rating.
Project Solution
The scope of work was to install a complete communications service solution which comprised a 22 cabinet data centre, fibre optic backbones and 1,800 data outlets over 6 floors of mixed use building.
Programmed supplied, installed and tested the communications cabling systems and associated services including the following:
- Integrated voice and data structured cabling system
- Communication racks
- Multimode fibre optic data backbone cabling
- MDF and TPF
- Voice backbone cabling
- Floor ICC frames
- Horizontal cabling
- RJ45 outlets
- Patch and fly leads
- Rack-horizontal and vertical cable management and cable supports
Project Outcome
Programmed is proud to have been involved in this award-winning project. With meaningful commitment to sustainability and sound communications cabling in place, the NAB HQ’s has achieved a 4.5 star office, with a Green Star rating from the Green Council Building of Australia.
