Over the past few years, Soap Aid has recycled more than 4 million bars of soap through its Hotel to Hands Program. This powerful initiative has distributed over 1.9 million bars to remote and Indigenous communities across Australia, helping prevent thousands of children from contracting diseases like trachoma and pneumonia, illnesses that are often easily prevented through basic hygiene.
Since joining the program in 2022, Programmed FM on Rottnest Island has proudly contributed by diverting 268kg of leftover soap from landfill. These offcuts are recycled into brand-new bars and distributed through Soap Aid’s Community Impact Partners to vulnerable communities both in Australia and overseas, alongside vital hygiene education that supports long-term health improvements.
