Work and Smile: People of Programmed – Meet Daniel Petrovic

Nov 17, 2025

We are once again out on the road and hearing directly from our people about what makes them Work and Smile. We’re proud to introduce Daniel Petrovic – one of the featured team members in our latest series, filmed across Western Australia.

Dan’s story was captured in Perth, WA, where he shares how curiosity and continuous learning have shaped his career journey. 🎥✨

From plumber… to Drone Pilot – and now Chief Drone Pilot. 🚁

Dan’s career is a story of curiosity, adaptability, and saying “yes” to new opportunities.

After joining Programmed, Dan became part of the initial pilot group trained in Digital Asset Capture – a natural fit for someone who has always loved drones and exploring new technologies.

Outside of work, Dan is a proud dad and finds constant inspiration in his wife’s dedication to their children and her meaningful charity work supporting families affected by FOP.

Known for taking the scenic route (literally), Dan brings that same spirit of discovery to his work, understanding customer challenges and finding smarter ways Programmed can help keep their facilities safe, efficient, and running at their best.

Some takeaways from Dan’s time in WA with the film crew:

“Filming the ad was definitely outside my comfort zone, but I’m glad I said yes. The team made the whole experience comfortable, and the Western Australia crew were accommodating from the moment I landed until the moment I left. One highlight of the trip was visiting Leighton Beach after work, where I joined hundreds of onlookers watching two mother whales and their calves play only 100 metres from shore. An incredible wildlife moment.”
