Working with CCF Victoria to make Mental Health a Priority

May 3, 2021
L to R: John Kilgour (CEO, CCF Victoria), Erik Locke (CEO, Incolink), Richard Aitken (Operations and HSEQ Manager, Programmed)

Programmed are proud to be a founding partner of the Civil Contractors Federations’ (CCF) Positive Plans – Positive Futures project. Richard Aitken will be representing Programmed, as the CCF embark on providing Positive Plans on the mental health of its members.

CCF Victoria is the peak industry body that represents and services the civil and construction industry. CCF members predominantly work in the construction and maintenance sector of Australia’s infrastructure, including residential and commercial.

The construction industry is one of the largest and busiest industries in Australia. It comes as no surprise that many in the industry suffer from higher levels of depression and anxiety as a side effect of working in a high-stress industry.

This year, CCF is putting mental health at the forefront. They acknowledge that it is time construction businesses prioritise mental health and wellbeing and are putting a mental health action plan in place.

Richard, Programmed’s Operations and HESQ Manager and a CCF member, will be part of a group that will work alongside CCF and industry experts to develop a comprehensive mental health program. Richard was picked to be a part of the program for his leadership and commitment to creating a mentally healthy workplace for Programmed staff.

Programmed are proud to be a founding partner in this initiative and look forward to keeping you updated as the program progresses.
