Balance for Better

Mar 8, 2019

Each year International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 celebrates the contribution women make to society.

We aspire to create an inclusive workplace at Programmed where women and men from all cultures and countries contribute to our success. To achieve this we are continuing to increase the representation of women in leadership, trades and operations.

To celebrate IWD this year we profiled two women in our Programmed Facility Management business.

Programmed contract manager, Sarah Ronald is an impressive lady with an impressive background. She and her team currently manage one of our biggest Western Australian contracts – WA Housing. Servicing three regions and 12,000 properties, Sarah shares why she chose to pursue a career within FM and operations, and her advice to other women looking for a challenging career.

Jodie Mott’s career in FM and operations has taken her all over the world, and now she helps manage an entire island – Rottnest Island, in WA. Responsible for looking after a 19 square kilometre paradise, Jodie shares her belief in gender balance, and her advice for young women looking for a fulfilling career.

In Australia, women currently make up less than 30% of the overall workforce within FM, this representation is even lower in senior leadership roles.

This International Women’s Day we’re helping create a balance for better, because at Programmed we see your potential.
