Keeping Activ on Rottnest Island

Mar 15, 2021

Since 2007, Programmed has partnered with Activ Foundation to employ supported workers on Rottnest Island.

Activ Foundation was established by Activ Property Care to support individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the WA community.

Working three days a week, a dedicated crew of long-serving members from the Activ Foundation, come across to Rottnest Island to start their day.

Working in conjunction with our Outside Services team, and supervised by Activ Site Supervisor, Stuart Harcourt, the Activ members join daily Toolbox Talks and are delegated set tasks each morning.

As integral members of the Programmed team on Rottnest Island, their enthusiasm and love of the job is evident through their hard work, dedication and enjoyment of a productive day. The Activ team’s five members are the heart of the maintenance crew and are well respected for their efforts in tackling large jobs.

To show their ongoing appreciation, the Rottnest Island team hosted an end of year barbeque for the Activ team to thank them for their work during 2020.
