Marking Three Years of Impact: Programmed and South East Water’s Evolving Partnership

Sep 15, 2025

Programmed is approaching its third anniversary with South East Water. This milestone reflects not only the strength of our collaboration but also the impact we’ve made together in supporting vital water infrastructure and community wellbeing.

At Programmed, we believe that strong partnerships are the foundation of resilient communities. Our collaboration with South East Water is a testament to this belief, bringing together technical expertise, shared values, and a commitment to delivering essential services that support over 1.8 million customers across Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs and the Mornington Peninsula.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

In October 2022, Programmed proudly commenced its partnership with South East Water to deliver mechanical and electrical maintenance services across their network. Possibly add in Pressure Sewer and Water Quality.

Now, as we approach our third anniversary, this milestone reflects not only the strength of our collaboration but also the impact we’ve made together in supporting vital water infrastructure and community wellbeing.

Programmed’s services span water and sewer systems, pressure sewer networks, and treatment plants—ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of potable water and wastewater services.

Moreover, we work closely with South East Water when it comes to assets, as our team is embedded within their asset integration and management systems, enabling us to provide real-time data and insights that support proactive maintenance and strategic planning.

People, Culture, and Community at the Core

What truly sets this partnership apart is the culture of openness and collaboration. Programmed’s diverse team, spanning various ages, backgrounds, and skillsets, works hand-in-hand with South East Water to deliver high-quality outcomes. Whether it’s participating in a smoking ceremony at Willum Warrain in the Mornington Peninsula or liaising with the public during pressure sewer works, our people are deeply connected to the communities they serve.

We’re proud to support career development through initiatives like the Water Academy, which offers apprenticeships and training pathways. Stories like Madeleine Hosemans, who joined Programmed as a mature-age apprentice and is now thriving in her third year, highlight our commitment to growing talent and fostering inclusive workplaces.

Looking Ahead

With significant upgrades underway, such as the Mount Martha Treatment Plant, and new technologies like drone inspections being introduced, we’re excited about what the future of our partnership with South East Water looks like.

We’re excited to continue expanding our services, driving innovation, and contributing to a sustainable water future for Victoria.
