At Programmed, safety isn’t just a priority – it’s at the forefront of our business operations and is woven into the fabric of everything we do.
Indeed, ‘Personal Safety Leadership’ is one of our four key values – and there is no room for compromise.
We take steps each and every day to ensure our employees return home from work in the same state they arrived: injury-free.
Our employees value safety, too, and continually contribute to our goal of Zero Harm.
Our commitment to safety – and that of our employees – is reflected in the results of our latest safety survey, and we are delighted to share some of the key findings below:
- 92% of more than 2700 respondents agree that their safety is taken seriously, up from 90% in 2024 and 87% in 2022
- 92% feel confident about stopping unsafe work and reporting it to Programmed, up from 91% in 2023 and 88% in 2022
- 89% agree they have the right tools and equipment to do their job safely, remaining steady from 89% in 2023 and up from 86% in 2022
- 3 in 4 respondents agree Programmed’s focus on safety is higher than other labour hire companies
- 93% are clear about the expectations of their role, with 92% confident to work safely after their induction and training on site
Safety excellence isn’t just about meeting regulatory standards – it’s about providing a value add for our clients with a more productive and confident workforce.
When teams feel secure in their environment, they are empowered and better positioned to deliver outstanding services and outcomes.
It’s why more than 80% of respondents scored an 8/10 or higher when asked ‘how likely are you to recommend Programmed to a friend or relative?’
It’s why Kiria said: “I firmly believe that Programmed have their employees’ health and safety at best interests in any line of work that they put out, ensuring all health and safety guidelines are being met and followed not just by employees but also by client.”
And it’s why Linda commented: “Programmed is extremely flexible and understanding. They are one of the best agencies I’ve worked for.”
We are proud of the positive outcomes of our 2024 safety survey. However, we know that maintaining and enhancing our safety culture is an ongoing journey.
By continuing to prioritise safety, and continually taking on feedback from our people, we are confident we will continue to cement ourselves as industry leaders in the years to come.
