Programmed Supports Clontarf Academy’s Wadjemup Cup for Regional WA Youth

Dec 9, 2024

Programmed recently joined forces with the Rottnest Island Authority and Clontarf Football Academy to support the Wadjemup Cup—a spirited round-robin Australian Rules football event held at Wadjemup (Rottnest Island). This annual event brings together year 8 and 9 students from across Western Australia, including communities as far north as Carnarvon and as far southeast as Esperance, for a day of sport, camaraderie, and cultural connection.

Over 100 students travelled to Wadjemup for the competition, beginning their journey with a Programmed-sponsored barbecue dinner. This gathering offered students a chance to connect, share their stories, and thank the team for their support. The next day, the football games kicked off, with students competing passionately for the ultimate prize – the Wadjemup Cup.

Programmed is proud to support Clontarf Academy’s mission to uplift and inspire young Aboriginal men, providing mentorship, athletic opportunities, and a foundation for future success. The Wadjemup Cup embodies this spirit, combining sport with cultural appreciation in a truly inspiring setting.
