This month, a group of Programmed volunteers rolled up their sleeves and put their culinary skills to the test to participate in the Ronald McDonald House Charities WA Home for Dinner initiative #rmhcwa.

The Home for Dinner initiative is an opportunity for businesses and community groups to volunteer their time to make a home cooked dinner for families with seriously ill children who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Nedlands. Each year the charity provides 50,000 meals for WA families in their care.

Programmed have been in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities in Western Australia since 2016. Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to providing accommodation and support services to families with seriously ill children #keepingfamiliesclose. We are proud to provide in-kind support to deliver facility management services to their state-of-the-art 47-bedroom house in Nedlands.

Programmed coordinates a complete maintenance package for the House. Our service includes all preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance services for the House. We work closely with our subcontractor network to ensure the best value for money on all trades and services to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Because of our long history and strong ties with Ronald McDonald House Charities, we were delighted that seven of our Programmed employees volunteered their time to cook a meal from the heart for families that are doing it tough. Their willingness to put their hands up for such a good cause is a true reflection of the Programmed values of care and empathy and we couldn’t be more #programmedproud of their efforts.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities, delivering a high-quality facility management service and supporting initiatives, like the Home for Dinner initiative, to give back to the communities we live and work in.
