Stepping up for a good cause

Dec 3, 2020

Following the success of our STEPtember 2019 challenge, we were excited to bring the challenge back this year, albeit under some unusual circumstances.

The initiative challenges participants to take 10,000 steps or more per day, for 28 days during September and to raise money for the Cerebral Palsy alliance. Ordinarily, this would be a significant challenge for some, throw in a pandemic and lockdown restrictions and it seemed almost impossible!

But it was not impossible for the 88 Programmed teams who participated this year and took an incredible 85,509,701 steps throughout the 28 days! A whopping 5,267,791 came from just one team, our PIM East Coast Megastars.

We were also able to smash our fundraising goal, raising an amazing $26,876 to support people living with Cerebral Palsy. Special mention to the PFM Sales team who were our highest fundraisers with $2,430 in donations.

In the three years since we began participating in STEPtember, we have been able to raise over $65,000. This contribution helps people to get the specialised support services and equipment they need to build their independence and enhance their wellbeing.

Thank you to everyone who stepped up to the challenge of keeping active and raising money for a worthy cause. Your efforts will help people with Cerebral Palsy live their very best lives well into the future.
