Programmed Painting Services successfully won AAMI Park’s contract to undertake the enormous task of cleaning the roof. Programmed’s history of large painting and maintenance projects enabled us to undertake the project within the eight week deadline in a safe and efficient manner, while allowing AAMI Park and retailers to continue to operate under normal conditions.
Project Solution
The unique shape of the roof meant that there were many areas at extreme heights with difficult access points. To combat these hard to reach places, Programmed utilised our fully qualified abseiling crew. Programmed also utilised our scissor lifts to access the side of the roof where possible allowing us to cover the entirety of the roof.
Programmed was able to work within strict deadlines by utilising our own in-house teams and using additional staff at short notice, who were close at hand working at Melbourne Park.
AAMI Park also posed a challenge with their operational schedule, with events still occurring on weekends. This required extra vigilance of our equipment placement and ensuring it was removed to a safe area when events were taking place, allowing the venue and internal retailer to remain completely operational.
Project Outcome
Programmed worked closely with AAMI Park to complete the works within the tight deadline, creating efficient management plans and keeping AAMI Park updated with all progress and highlighting and rectifying potential issues before they became larger problems.
With the property looking brand new once again, the team at AAMI Park are extremely pleased with the building’s fresh appearance, and patrons visiting the park noticed the difference in cleanliness.
