Project Description
Situated on a sprawling 20-acre campus, Mary MacKillop P–12 College is a large and dynamic site with extensive grounds and multiple buildings to maintain. While the grounds had always been well cared for, the buildings had not undergone substantial painting maintenance since they were first constructed. As a result, the school sought a partner who could deliver both grounds and building upkeep in a way that was seamless, efficient, and sensitive to the needs of a busy educational environment.
Programmed first secured the open space maintenance contract, delivering excellent results that led the College to expand the relationship to include painting and building maintenance. With the scale of the project and the condition of the facilities, a full refresh was essential to restore the campus to its best.
Project Solution
Programmed Property Services implemented a comprehensive maintenance program that covered both external and internal works. Externally, surfaces were pressure washed to remove years of build-up, while internally, walls were patched, repaired, and fully repainted to create a refreshed and welcoming environment for staff and students.
The commercial painting project spanned approximately six weeks, completed over the Christmas break to avoid disruption to classes. This scheduling allowed the Brisbane team to work intensively while the campus was quieter, ensuring the school reopened in the new year looking revitalised.
By aligning both open space and painting maintenance under one contract, Programmed was able to provide a seamless service. The same teams were deployed consistently across projects, building strong relationships with staff, gaining familiarity with the site, and streamlining work to reduce downtime. The coordinated approach also allowed ongoing pressure cleaning and upkeep to be integrated with larger-scale projects.
Project Outcome
The results of the full refresh have transformed P–12 College, restoring the campus to a near-new condition and providing a clean, bright, and professional learning environment. The strong, long-term partnership between the College and Programmed—built over six years—has created a reliable and trusted framework for ongoing maintenance.
Staff have praised the consistency and reliability of Programmed’s teams, noting how their familiarity with the campus makes project delivery more efficient and stress-free. With a revitalised campus and a streamlined maintenance program, P–12 College is now well positioned to continue providing a high-quality learning environment for years to come.
