Located on the northern coast of Perth, Sacred Heart College (Sacred Heart) educates boys and girls from Years 7 to 12. The College began in 1967 as a small and intimate boarding and day catholic school, and now serves as a large and complex educational community educating over 1400 students in Perth’s northern region. Priding themselves on the quality of their pastoral care, Sacred Heart continues to develop innovative, creative and technology-rich opportunities for their students, living by their motto “Always Striving Upwards”.
Project Description
Programmed currently provides a comprehensive painting programme and has previously completed various painting jobs for the College. This existing relationship and outstanding work we have delivered, led Sacred Heart to engage us for grounds maintenance works too.
The College places emphasis on maintaining their grounds to a high standard as it is a vital cog in the promotion of the college to the public. Trusting Programmed to be leaders in grounds maintenance to the private education sector in Western Australia, the College put their sports oval line marking, front entrance area and car park landscaping in our hands.
Project Solution and Outcome
A complete solution encompassing grounds & horticultural management, as well as landscape design and construction was designed to provide the College the outcome it sought for its grounds. We have revamped and rejuvenated the front car park, re-installed and modified the existing irrigation system and provided line marking for their sports oval.
Although the landscaping is still maturing, the attention and care we have instigated is already showing much more pleasing aesthetics. Additionally, Programmed assigns a full time horticulturalist to the College to ensure maintenance of its grounds. With this dedicated and qualified staff looking after their site on a daily basis, Sacred Heart is able to enjoy their much improved grounds, while being free to focus on education.
Programmed’s productive partnership with Sacred Heart also gives the College confidence that should any problems arise, they can rely on us to resolve issues efficiently. A single point of contact, despite the College engaging us for multiple services, makes it simple and easy for them.
