Sydney Airport’s Safety Month: A Fun-filled Family Day

Nov 8, 2023

Last October was safety month at Sydney Airport. Over the weekend, Sydney Airport was buzzing with excitement as SACL (Sydney Airport Corporation Limited) hosted an unforgettable family fun day. Programmed had the privilege of being invited to set up a stall alongside the Australian Federal Police (AFP), NSW Police, Australian Border Force, Aviation Fire Rescue, and St Johns Ambulance.

More than 2,000 SYD airport employees and their families joined the action. The SYD airport events team was thrilled as the day was a complete success for everyone involved.

Visitors were given Programmed merchandise such as water bottles, hats, pens, stress balls, lanyards, and bags. This not only helped promote Programmed but also gave us the opportunity to explain what we perform onsite. It was a game-changer for many visitors who had seen us around the airport but now have a better understanding of what we manage and do.

A big recognition goes to Dallas Kelly, Contract Manager and Ahmad Zreika, HSE manager, for their exceptional stall management and logistical preparations prior to the day. Their unwavering commitment and assistance leading up to the event were invaluable.

Additionally, a huge thank you to John Catalano and Zack Kirkwood for assisting in setting up the stall.

This is yet another instance where Programmed demonstrates the importance of community engagement in our contracts, highlighting our Work and Smile vision. Having the opportunity to share the purpose of why we go to work and being able to share it with our families is truly rewarding.

Keep up the good job, team!
