Our history

We started as Norman Miles Paint Services in 1951, with just one paint van and a few tradesmen on the brushes.

Programmed now employs more than 32,000 people every year across a range of disciplines providing services to over 10,000 customers, and is one of the largest providers of operations and maintenance services across Australia and New Zealand.

We’ve grown as a result of a number of acquisitions over the years, and each service offering we provide has a rich history which contributes to the overall Programmed journey. We’re proud of our roots and achievements to date.

From a small painting company founded 68 years ago, we have become a leader in our field. Programmed was acquired by PERSOL Group on 27 October 2017. To learn more, visit the PERSOL GROUP website.
