Jan 23, 2024

Urban Utilities has partnered with Programmed Facility Management, where we will be providing an Integrated Facilities Management Solution across some of Urban Utilities' assets.

Programmed has been successfully awarded the Urban Utilities contract in South East Queensland to provide an Integrated Facilities Management Solution across eight sites, including corporate office accommodation and warehouse and depot facilities. Functions include planned and reactive facility services, management, and support services.

Urban Utilities is one of Australia’s largest water distributor-retailers, providing water and wastewater services to over 1.6 million customers across five local government regions in South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, and Somerset. The utility prides itself on being a “human-centred” business, focused on enriching quality of life, and Programmed shares this philosophy.

In this new partnership, we look forward to supporting these communities and working closely with Urban Utilities to ensure we provide the best service and continuous improvement.

Programmed CEO of Facility Management Graeme Hurn said, “Programmed is thrilled to be partnering with Urban Utilities, and we look forward to growing our experience in the water sector in this region to provide our expertise, having maintained water and wastewater assets across Australia with our customer base of Sydney Water, Greater Western Water, Melbourne Water, South East Water and now Urban Utilities”.

Programmed will work closely with Urban Utilities as we drive our social and First Nations engagement plans, including delivering even more training, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities through Programmed’s Water Academy.

The mobilisation period of Programmed with Urban Utilities commenced in August 2023.
