Celebrating those who care

Aug 6, 2019

As a community nurse, Debi has dedicated her life to helping older Australians remain in their homes. Working in such a diverse role, no two days are the same for Debi. The role includes a wide range of tasks including in-home assessments, implementation of simple to complex wound care, showering assistance for those returning from hospital or at risk of falls, continence assessments and medication administration. She visits clients throughout south east Queensland and loves the flexibility and variation in her day, as well as meeting many great personalities along the way.

Debi has worked with Programmed Care for the past 6 years and enjoys being part of a valued team that make positive differences to people every day, enabling them to  continue living in their own homes for as long as possible. “Focusing on one person at a time allows me to truly perform my job well and achieve the best outcome for each person, it’s a great way to work.”

Today, as part of Aged Care Employee Day, we give thanks to Debi and the many others who have dedicated their lives to helping the 1.3 million older Australian’s receiving care and services each year. #ACED2019
