Pausing and reflecting on ANZAC Day across Facility Management

Across Programmed Facility Management, teams came together to recognise ANZAC Day in meaningful and respectful ways, taking time to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

At Melbourne Airport, colleagues marked the occasion by pausing to honour the courage, resilience, and mateship that define the ANZAC legacy. A highlight of the gathering was hearing from David Vandenberg (Service Co) and Matt Ellul (Melbourne Airport), who shared their personal experiences of service. Their reflections were both moving and insightful, offering a powerful reminder of the realities behind the stories and the lasting impact service has on individuals, families and communities.

The team was also encouraged to attend a local dawn service, continuing an important tradition of remembrance and connection that sits at the heart of ANZAC Day.

Meanwhile, in Bayside City Council, Neal Mayberry and the team played a hands-on role in local commemorations. They supported proceedings by raising and lowering flags in honour of the day, before respectfully removing them from Green Point Memorial following the conclusion of events. Their efforts helped ensure the day was marked with the dignity and respect it deserves, much to the appreciation of the council.

These moments, whether through shared stories, quiet reflection, or community support, highlight just a few of the ways our people came together to honour ANZAC Day.

Lest we forget.
