Programmed joins the Midsumma Festival 2023

Jan 30, 2023

Melbourne Airport partnered with Programmed Facility Management to participate in the Midsumma Festival this year. This was the first time our team joined the Midsumma Carnival, which marked the start of the festival. The Midsumma Festival is an event organised by Australia’s leading queer arts and cultural organisation. It brings together a diverse mix of LGBTQIA+ artists, performers, communities, and audiences.

The festival aims to create safe and inclusive spaces for communities, with diversity at its core. This strongly aligns with Programmed’s passion for diversity and inclusion. The event highlighted that when our communities feel safe and supported, they can build stronger connections within their own groups and with other groups they interact with.

Melbourne Airport had a booth at this event, where our teams joined them to show our support for the queer community and connect with them. We held a raffle competition and gave away a few goodies at the event.
