Situated near the heart of the Perth CBD, Aranmore Catholic College (Aranmore) is a co-educational high school for Years 7 to 12. This remarkable school has a rich history dating back to 1903, and educates a diverse range of students from over 60 nationalities.
Project Description
Due to the school’s long and rich history, preserving its presentation and protecting their heritage assets has always been a priority. The College has engaged Programmed for painting maintenance since the late 1990’s.
Project Solution and Outcome
In those early years, there weren’t too many companies like Programmed able to help schools maintain their buildings or provide them the ability to spread the costs for improvements over a period of time. However, through Programmed, Aranmore has been able to restore the presentation of its heritage-listed buildings.
Over this time, our long-term relationship with Aranmore has allowed us to transform it from a school with buildings in dire need of attention into a beautiful heritage site.
The College’s heritage buildings were not designed with easy maintenance access in mind. Nevertheless, Programmed has repainted the exteriors of the college, including its heritage listed buildings, successfully overcoming the challenges of limited access points.
The heritage listed buildings now have a fresh look. Painting is completed on time and within budget. Works are also prioritised and scheduled during the school holidays to minimise disruption to school activities.
