Collect. Recycle. Save Lives – Soap Aid

Jul 17, 2025

Every year, more than 1.4 million children under the age of five die from preventable, hygiene-related diseases. At Programmed we can change this, one bar of soap at a time.

We’re proud to work with Soap Aid, a non-profit organisation that collects and recycles partially used hotel soap.

  • In just one quarter, Programmed Facility Management helped divert 190 kg of waste soap from landfill.
  • Created 1,900 new soap bars, enough to give 158 children a 12-month supply of soap and hygiene education, helping save an estimated 70 young lives from hygiene-related diseases.

By keeping the soap flowing smoothly from places like Wadjemup (Rottnest Island) to Soap Aid, our people are playing a direct role in building healthier communities and a cleaner planet.

It’s a simple but powerful reminder that small changes in the way we work can have a big humanitarian and environmental impact. We really do collect, recycle and save lives.
